I'd often find myself looking forward to Monday's because I knew we'd both be working on the same project and no matter how unexciting that project might be, Dale always knew how to make it fun. In any meeting he'd break through the ice and turn it into something constructive and enjoyable. Everybody loved him for this, but more than that, he cared for everyone he knew and I'm so lucky I had the privilege of being his friend. He's going to be sorely lost, but he's not gone. At moments of doubt, I often find myself asking, "What would Dale do?" and I usually get a fairly good idea what it might be. I don't always do it (sometimes it would be just plain crazy!), but it's my way of keep his memory alive and Dale still with us somewhere.
