Ahead of joining VM back in 2013, I was sent a link to the 'Dan and Dale Show'. Upon watching it, I genuinely thought VM had employed a Hollywood actor to star in this - that was Dale. I thought the other guy was a bit more rusty at this acting lark, but even so I was surprised to found out these were real VM people. I didn't know Dale at VM really - he left almost as I joined, but we did work together on the early days of the VM network expansion when Dale was doing some consultancy work and then later during Cable Congress - where he was a perfect compere and, as always it seems, brought light & energy to the room. No doubt the industry - and the world - is a tad duller now. Take it easy Dale. RIP
