Hello. I was the producer on The Dan and Dale series of videos that some of you have seen / mentioned. Unlike many of you, I only really got to work with him on those couple of shoot days but he made quite an impression. When told 'the client wants to make a film about the science of cabling, and btw they want to be in it' I was less than enthralled. And then I met Dale. We spent the entire shoot giggling. He could not get his head around the fact that Queen had not been 'coronated' and that in fact referred to chicken. He could non stop saying 'Meanwhile' in every sentence so that we had to do hundreds of takes. He fluffed most his lines and sent us in to overtime. But he had all of us in stitches. Not only obviously very bright and good and what he does, but a great natural performer with a genuine ability on camera. I have paid actors and comedy performers good money before and since and they haven't been as talented as Dale, and indeed Dan. They had a brilliant chemistry and were clearly fab buddies so the whole thing from my perspective was a joy. Even though I only really met him a couple of times I just wanted to say he wasn't one to forget and to let those boys know how many people thought their dad was completely cool. R.I.P XXX
